Logline: Seventeen year-old Leigh fights to step out from her mother’s shadow.

“Like You Think You Know Me,” will have its world premiere at the New/Next Film Fest at the Charles Theatre August 18-20, 2023, in the amazing city of Baltimore.

“Like You Think You Know Me,” won the best short screenplay at the 2020 Austin Film Festival and was funded by a Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund Production Grant through Johns Hopkins.

Production wrapped in October 2021. Entirely filmed and cast in Baltimore.

Synopsis: With the support of a Panavision Production Grant and a Hollywood Foreign Press Association Grant, "Mala," tells the story of Lucinda, a young migrant worker who tries to navigate a balance between her teenage independence and the demands of work on a farm.

"Mala" is a Spanish & English language, NYU graduate 18-minute thesis short film that had it's world premiere at Austin Film Festival. It also screened at the San Diego Latino Film Festival and the Sarasota Film Festival.

MEMORIA DE OCTAVIA

Synopsis: Sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, "Memoria de Octavia," tells the story of a neuroscientist, Octavia, who came to the United States from Mexico under asylum as a child. Using herself as a test subject, she struggles to erase memories of her past. Inspired by the scientific works of neuroscientist Karim Nader and neuroscientist Joseph Ledoux, the film's theme centers on the unreliable and intangible nature of memory. The safest memories are the ones that you don't think about.

Based on the short story, "El dia de los muertos," written by Stephen Schuyler. 


AYMON

LA RECLUSA

Synopsis: Mariela Monllor, is a recluse landlord that collects rent through a lavishly decorated rent box in the hallway. Her only contact with the outside world comes in the form of rent checks and HBC orders. After a new tenant, Gabriel, accidentally destroys her rent box, she begins a written exchange that will redefine the boundaries of her world.

"La Reclusa" is a Spanish language, NYU graduate 12-minute short film.
