MALA

Synopsis: With the support of a Panavision Production Grant and a Hollywood Foreign Press Association Grant, "Mala," tells the story of Lucinda, a young migrant worker who tries to navigate a balance between her teenage independence and the demands of work on a farm.

"Mala" is a Spanish & English language, NYU graduate 18-minute thesis short film that had it's world premiere at Austin Film Festival. It also screened at the San Diego Latino Film Festival and the Sarasota Film Festival.
